KYOTO University Master Course
Our professor of Marketing in the Department of Business Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Atik, has taught a course in Kyoto University this Fall Semester 2014, one of the most famous universities in Japan. Many students from all around the world such as China, South Korea, Italy and the USA, besides Japanese students have shown great interest in Dr. Atik’s “Marketing Management” class. While teaching to 22 master level students, Dr. Atik also gave a seminar at Kyoto University about “Sustainable Fashion.” Many scholars have shown interest to the seminar among which some met Dr. Atik for possible research collaborations. One of the PhD students at Kyoto University will come to IUE in Spring semester to get advising from Dr. Atik.
With Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz Atik’s visit to Kyoto University, the collaborations between the two institutions have started and strengthened. Scholars from Kyoto University, which has won its 9th Nobel Prize in October 2014, will come to teach in Izmir University of Economics while Japanese students will come to take courses. Similarly, Izmir University of Economics master students will be able to take courses in Kyoto University.
