Students of Yacht Design, who were mostly interested in the Design Talents section of the fair, where product designs of the young designers based on innovation were exhibited, stated that they wanted to attend the fair next year with their own prototypes. The students got a chance to visit the Yacht Fair, organized in Düsseldorf, for two days. They studied the new trends in motor yachts and sailing boats, and the craftsmanship and the quality of materials, at the fair considered to be one of the biggest boat fairs worldwide.
Izmir University of Economics team was interested in boat materials and equipment, and especially in houseboats at the fair that was enriched with water sports equipment and water activities. They argued that many platforms could be designed for public use for Izmir Bay if the legal regulations allowed.
